CULTURAL RAJASTHAN
SEASON - September To March
CLOSEST INT'L AIRPORT - New Delhi / Bombay
In Northwest India lies the Royal State of Rajasthan. For thousands of years, the Royal families fought off invaders and defended this land with their lives. In their spare time they built some of the worlds most spectacular forts, temples, palaces and architectural structures, fostering a lively and unique culture that still lives on today.
Picture spending a week or 2 the Royal capital of India on your customised cultural adventure. Wake up in the mornings to the sound of exotic birds and the sight of a flock of Siberian Crane landing on the lake as you sit in the morning chai(tea) in the Sardar Samand Lake Palace. Or watch the colourful, jeeled tribal village women disappear into the Thar Desert on their daily water fetching expedition. Your evenings will be spent feasting on the best North Indian cuisine and sipping on the champagne as traditional dancers, mmusicians, magicians and puppeteers perform specially for you, bringing the night alive with the past.
You will rest your weary bodies in the 5* luxury of the desert camps, century old forts and Palaces out off the Arabian nights. During the day you can bargain for Rajasthan's world-renowned jewelry, carpets and antiques or explore some of the most amazing architecture in the world in the form of forts, palaces and temples. Better still, for those up for a bit of adventure, slowly ride one of our camels until you disappear and melt away into the magical desert sunset.
