MALDIVES
A group of Italians set off to find the perfect mix of sun, sand and sea. South of India, they found isles set in pristine water with aquarium-like reefs and palms aplenty. One dropped a message in a bottle: "Found paradise. Come quick."
That was 1971, long before the Maldives even had commercial flights. A few decades on, there are world-renowned resorts and direct charters from Europe. Yet, little else has changed. The Maldives remains the picture of paradise, and the message still hasn't gotten out.
Most people dream of a perfect island, a microcosm of sunshine and peace. Here in the Maldives you'll be convinced you've found it.
The Islands comprises of roughly 1190 small coral islands, and covers a total area of 104,00.00 sq. Kilometers. These islands are no more than six feet above sea level and lie 73 degrees East Equator. The islands are grouped into nineteen administrative 'atolls', and vary in size and character. Some are sandbanks, while others are tropical islands, with lush vegetation, ringed with coral reefs, turquoise lagoons full of marine life, and white sandy beaches.
With its fragile ecosystem, mass tourism would sink the Maldives. Only 88 resorts have been approved, and just one per island to minimize impact….and NATURAL MYSTIC has done you the favour of handpicking the best resorts and liveaboards for you.
